King Cordes has a hat-trick of wins now with ever improving finishing times – this year he was miles ahead of the next finisher, Drew Murphy, and surely, this is the definition of domination!
Tim James, 53, rounded off the podium as the third male home in the Classic.
Linda Loffler was toppled into second by Nadja Shields who has been riding strongly of late. Nicole Murphy, another name known to Imvelo, came in as third placed lady in the grueling Classic.
Rauol Hamman and Maryke Bezuidenhout won their respective categories, claiming firsts in the male and female sections of the Challenge. The youngest rider in for the Challenge was Ethan Young at 13 years old.
The Family event was keenly contested but eventually taken by Murry James – Corli Fowler won the ladies category. The youngest rider was Sakhiwo Motsa.
The inaugural winner of the youngest category in the brand new Hoglet Race, was Hlane Royal National Park’s own Andrew Hall. He was both the youngest rider as well as the 1st U6 boy in. At 5 years old, he can make the event his own!
With 244 Swazis entered, the local power is shining through. Fana Mentane was the first Swazi home in the Classic with Nadja Shields, the eventual winner of the ladies event, also being the first Swazi female home.
Adventure Sport (the bike shop in Mbabane) held off a stiff challenge from Team BGP to sneak the Challenge event by a single point. The Stein Dream Team destroyed all comers to walk off with the Family Team prize.

In all, the Hoglet distance has proved to be a great new addition to an awesome vibe – the other 2 races all offer something for everyone.
